Dr. Joshua Bakke

Dr. Joshua Bakke grew up in Nashville, TN. He received his Bachelors of Art from Harding University before attending medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his pediatric training at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident from 2017-2018. Dr. Bakke is board certified in General Pediatrics and has been with Memphis Children’s Clinic since 2018. When not seeing patients, Dr. Bakke enjoys traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and gardening with his wife Christy.

Dr. Bakke practices at the Germantown and Olive Branch offices.

Dr. Jami Carver

Dr. Jami Carver is a native of Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She received her medical training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. In 2008, Jami and her husband moved to DeSoto County to complete her pediatric residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. Jami served as chief resident at Le Bonheur from 2011-2012. She is now excited to be part of Memphis Children’s Clinic staff where she enjoys the one-on-one contact with patients and their families. Free time is spent teaching Zumba, running, watching sports with her husband, and caring for their daughter.

Dr. Carver works at the Olive Branch office.

Dr. Melissa Damico

Dr. Melissa Damico joined Memphis Children’s Clinic in August of 2012. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi and attended medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She completed her residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and was the first recipient of the Russell W. Chesney Award for Excellence in Pediatric Residency. She is board certified in General Pediatrics. Dr. Damico enjoys spending time with her family in Mississippi and traveling to Oxford in the fall to cheer on the Ole Miss Rebels.

Dr. Tim Gillespie

Dr. Tim Gillespie joined Memphis Children’s Clinic in 1988 after completing training and serving as Chief Pediatric Resident at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center. He has a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama and his M.D. from the University of Tennessee. He is board certified in General Pediatrics. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee, and he has been awarded the Community Pediatric Teaching Award by the residents at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital on two occasions. He has been listed in the Best Doctors in America yearly since 1999. He has been married for thirty years to Anita, and they have two sons. He is active in his church and his hobbies include soccer and world history. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Memphis Children’s Clinic.

Dr. Gillespie practices at the Whitehaven and Olive Branch offices.

Dr. Jessica Hysmith

Dr. Jessica Hysmith joined Memphis Children’s Clinic in 2013. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and then received her M.D. from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She completed her pediatric residency at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, where she received the Russell W. Chesney Award for Excellence. Dr. Hysmith is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics.

Dr. Hysmith practices in the Olive Branch and Southaven offices.

Dr. Beth Brown

Dr. Beth Brown was born and raised in Union City, TN. She received her B.S. in Biology at Union University in Jackson, TN. She then attended medical school and received her M.D. at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis prior to completing her pediatric residency through UT at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. She joined Memphis Children’s Clinic in 2015 and is Board Certified in General Pediatrics. During her free time, she is active in her church and does volunteer work in the local community. She enjoys traveling and is passionate about medical missions.

Dr. Brown works at the Kirby and Germantown offices.

Dr. Savannah Krause

I grew up in Ocean Springs, MS and attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. I completed my pediatrics residency at the University of TN Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN. My husband and I have two beautiful children that keep us both very busy at home. In my free time, I like to read, go on outdoor walks, and enjoy a nice cup of tea.
